Patty Perillo joined UMD in January 2020 after seven years as vice president for student affairs and assistant professor of higher education at Virginia Tech. She also worked at Davidson College, the State University of New York (Plattsburgh and Albany campuses), the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and the University of Delaware.
Perillo provides leadership for 15 departments in the Division; oversight of a $240 million budget; and responsibility for nearly 50% of campus physical capital. She obtained her doctoral degree in public and community health from UMD, and her master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Delaware. She received the ACPA's Esther Lloyd Jones Professional Service Award and Diamond Honoree Award, and inductions into Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Delta Kappa.
