Adriene Lim

Adriene Lim provides leadership for the University's library system, and ensures that its work and vast collections enable student success, support teaching and research, and advance social justice. Prior to joining the University of Maryland, Lim was the dean of libraries and Philip H. Knight Chair at the University of Oregon. She earned her Ph.D. in library and information science at Simmons University, and holds master's and bachelor's degrees from Wayne State University.

Lim has published numerous articles and given presentations about leadership, technology, and inclusive excellence, and has been active in the American Library Association and the Association of Research Libraries. She currently serves on the boards of the Center for Research Libraries and the Academic Preservation Trust.
