Our Community
Greater College Park, which encompasses historic districts, up-and-coming new neighborhoods and a bustling downtown, is welcoming a swath of amenities, including hotels, retailers, restaurants and recreation.
The area has several neighboring communities with diverse housing options for households of all shapes and sizes, including the City of College Park, City of Greenbelt, City of Hyattsville, City of New Carrollton, Town of Berwyn Heights, Town of Riverdale Park and the Town of University Park.

The state's flagship university and one of the nation's preeminent public research universities, UMD is a global leader in research, entrepreneurship and innovation. The university is home to more than 40,700 students, 14,000 faculty and staff, and 300 academic programs.
Together, we are attracting nearly $2 billion in academic and economic investments, launching startups, partnering with established companies, and offering stunning new housing and other in-demand amenities for their employees as well as other new and current residents.

Our Partnerships

The progress is the realization of the University District Vision, a collaborative effort spearheaded by the College Park City-University Partnership that also features sustainability, transportation, schools and safety.
